He creado una serie de ilustraciones donde agentes de ICE arrestan pitufos como metáfora de una realidad absurda: una persecución que rompe comunidades y donde cualquiera puede ser detenido simplemente por existir o por un juicio personal.

#letthemsmurf propone “smurf” como verbo: dejar vivir, dejar trabajar, dejar existir en libertad, en comunidad y unión.

El arte también es una forma de alzar la voz, unirnos sin violencia y resistir cuando la realidad duele.

I created a series of illustrations depicting ICE officers arresting Smurfs as a metaphor for an absurd reality: when persecution breaks communities and anyone can be detained simply for existing or through personal judgment.

#letthemsmurf reimagines “smurf” as a verb, to let live, to let work, to let exist freely, in unity and belonging.
These images are shared freely for anyone to use as they wish, because when art is shared, it also becomes a collective way of raising our voice.
